From Doorsteps to Boardrooms

Hello. I’m Danny McDonnell. I’ve been a door-to-door salesman, a cold caller in a telesales office, a street fundraiser in the pouring rain. I’ve led teams, managed regions, and coached national operations. I’ve gone from knocking on doors to sitting in boardrooms as an international consultant and global specialist manager.

This journey hasn’t just shaped my expertise. It’s shaped my values. I know what it’s like to have targets, face rejection, motivate a team, and make things work on the ground. That experience is the foundation of everything I offer today: honest advice, practical solutions, and a deep respect for the people doing the work.

I now work with charities, agencies, and sector leaders to improve operations, train teams, and develop strategies that actually work. I care deeply about impact, integrity, and innovation, and I believe fundraising can be both ambitious and human.

A Bit More About Me

I’m also a single father of three, a lifelong lover of music, and a not-so-secret hippy at heart. I spent over a decade behind the decks as a DJ, running club nights and radio shows, and I still believe there’s nothing quite like the power of a shared rhythm. I find joy in good people, meaningful conversations, and the kind of work that connects us to something bigger than ourselves.
